He described it as a meat palace that would leave my taste buds crying for more even after i was satisfied. He created a mental image in me that had me wondering what exactly was in this restaurant that he kept bragging about, and he deiced that the next time i should tag along and experience it myself.
Pampa Churrascaria is a Brazilian steakhouse restaurant that has two of its branches here in Kenya. Its the first of its kind in East and Central Africa and it offers a reflection of what you would see in Brazil. The restaurant is located in Lavington and at the Panari Sky Center along Mombasa road. I happened to visit the Westlands branch which was the head office, located at Groganville Estate.
As soon as you walk in the restaurant doors you are welcomed by waiters that are dressed in a Brazilian attire, boots, blue shirts, red scarfs and large belts on their waists that have pockets. The restaurant is filled with beautiful furniture covered with large table cloths and cutlery set in each and every table. We were offered a table that was at the far end. As we sat down and got comfortable, we were offered the starters that included meat samosas, and fried bananas to go with. We took a walk around the salad table as we filled our plates with was offered, their were Quesadillas, marshed potatoes, bean salad, cheese, cabbage and many more.
As we wrapped up our salads, the waiters came round serving meat, and this is where the action took place, there was plenty of meat on offer, from camel meat, rabbit meat, crocodile meat, tilapia fish, pork meat, beef sirloin, goat meat, chicken and plenty more all served on stills and placed on our plates, they were steaming and sizzling hot. The variety did not end there as their was a wide selection of fruits available to be eaten, from pineapples, jack fruits, grapes, sweet melon etc.
The price was 2,150 Kshs for the all you can eat buffet, this did not include the drinks as they were sold separately. And if you are not a carnivorous fan you could still get a variety of different food sold and offered at the restaurant.
The restaurant had a beautiful ambiance of Salsa, Latin music, Jazz and Blues music playing, that had a calming effect with various instrumentals playing, their were also various paintings that were hanged on the walls, that made the restaurant feel more cozy and beautiful.
I would rate the restaurant a 5 star restaurant as it had everything under one roof, what made it excellent was the service that was provided by the staff and the hospitality offered. After each meal, a critic card was offered to provide your personal opinions to the chef and you could write what you would want improved to help them perfect their services and offer better services.
